On this weeks Get To Know I will be introducing you to Maddie Damain. A British fashion model and content creator, who’s worked for the likes of Burberry, Giorgio Armani and YSL beauty. Maddie, who is currently based in London, fell into content creating whilst embarking on her modelling career. Instagram has become the linkedInn of the fashion world and Maddie’s staying on top of the game! With her beautifully colourful grid and the hippest of outfits, you can’t stop scrolling through Maddie’s uniquely vibrant content.

Yasmin: If you were stuck on a desert island and you could only take one beauty product with you what would it be and why?

Maddie: I would take moisturiser, basic but necessary, especially since I’m on a desert island I don’t want to be drying out!

Y: What are some of your best beauty tips?

Less is more, my go to is a little bit of concealer for redness, a little bronzing and a touch blush! I always like to follow the idea that your enhancing what you have rather than covering what you have.

Y: If you could have one persons makeup bag who’s would it be?

I think I would have @nikki_makeup bag, I needn’t say more!

Y: What was your first makeup purchase?

The one and only maybelline Dream Matt mouse.

Y: Funniest beauty experience whilst modeling?

I use to have really sensitive and problem skin (I still do) and I put some of my sisters strong acne spot cream on and it burnt a layer of skin off... I had work the next day and they had to spray on a plaster, then try and cover it. We where shooting for a video so there was no editing! It didn’t go well…

Y: Favourite historic beauty icon?

None other than the Sophia Loren.

Y: Current makeup trends that you love?

I’m still loving the fake freckles in the winter months when mine haven’t come out yet! I feel like i’ve been on holiday or something!

Y: A beauty trend you hope never makes a comeback?

I think it’s still around (and looks amazing on so many people ) but i’ve been baked before.. and it’s one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. I felt like my face was dryer than the Sahara dessert.

Y: Your top 3 favourite beauty products?

Sheshido synchro skin self refreshing concealer - this is all I use to cover redness/spots! Skip the foundation!!
Marc jacobs O!mega bronzer - I have got so many of my close friends onto this! It’s got the perfect warm glow and is so silky!
Benefit gimme brow gel - nothing else holds these puppies in place quite like this magical product!
