Erborian’s Super Serums
Whether it’s a full glam day or a no makeup day, making sure my skin is in the best condition possible is my number one priority. So when of my favourite Korean brands ‘Erborian’ launched four new Super Serums, I couldn’t wait to try them. Erborian have created their new collection of luxury serums with one mission in mind; to make the formular more effective. Their four new serums are each 80% enriched in super- ingredient extracts, making them ultra- effective from the very first application: Bamboo, Red pepper, Yuza and Ginseng. The serums each have a specific function to be compatible to all skin types. There’s just something about Erborian’s sleek packaging that draws me in every time! This week’s post is written by my intern Evelyn Bufton. She’s been trialling these products for over a week and has shared her knowledge, thoughts and feelings about each serum.

Bamboo Super Serum
Who doesn’t love Bamboo? This Serum has been tried and tested to make the skin look fresher and more radiant only 2 hours after application. I can vouch for that one. I found this formular to be richer than the rest, leaving my skin feeling plum and intensely replenished. Bamboo helps to improve skins natural radiance and retain moisture. With the bonus ingredient of Hyaluronic acid, the purpose of this serum is to plum the surface and prevent dehydration. The texture is designed to instantly transform into water upon contact with the skin making it a great base for the day. I loved using this one before bed, I found in the morning, I woke up with luminous looking skin which felt hydrated.
Ginseng Super Serum
Ginseng is one of the most precious plants in Asia and has been used for thousands of years to improve the quality of life. Erborian’s Ginseng serum is made to smooth the skin resulting in a reduction of the appearance of wrinkles, leaving skin looking younger! The serum contains a combination of white and red Ginseng: the active ingredients within the serum fight signs of aging and leaves the skin feeling firmer overall. Peptides are also infused as a bonus ingredient to improve the skins texture and make it feel more elastic. When using this serum, I found the consistency very plump yet light on the skin. It left me feeling refreshed and looked after, not to mention the sweet aroma I had when I used the product!
Red Pepper Super Serum
Korean Red Pepper extract is known for its energising and antioxidant properties that boost the skins natural radiance, reducing the appearance of dull skin. Now I don’t know about you, but that sounds just up my street! I found that when using this serum under my face of makeup it just worked wonders. My skin was left looking glowing and airbrushed, despite running around London’s underground catching tube after tube! PHA is also infused within this tiny bottle of magic which helps eliminate dead skin cells and promote cell renewal – I found that this concoction left my complexion looking luminous all over and it will definitely be gaining a place in my everyday skincare routine.
YUZA Super Serum
Yuza is a cross between the citrus fruit and wild mandarin. Naturally enriched with vitamin C and C24 ceramides this serum strengthens the skins natural barrier whilst moisturising. I found that the Yuza formular is specifically light weight and easily absorbed into my skin upon application. This one is great for those with an oily skin type – whilst revitalising skin, I found my complexion was left looking non-greasy and more radiant!
Skin Hero – Bare Skin Perfector
Now I Couldn’t sign off without blessing your skin routines with this bottle of perfection. Skin hero, another of Erborian’s products, is a non-tinted skin perfector that smooths, blurs, and enhances bare skin. In other words, a second layer of skin. This is one of my personal favourites. The silicone free, cream formular works to refine the skin throughout daily use. I personally use it along with my Red Pepper Serum to create the most perfect base for my makeup. This product contains Korean white Ginseng, which works to brighten the skin whilst also having anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to help protect the skin from environmental skin aggressors. Is there anything Erborian can’t do!
