My Top Favourite Concealers
Concealers have always been a staple in my makeup kit and have a range of benefits, not only do they conceal dark circles, spots, redness and scars. Concealers can also be used to brighten the skin, as an eyeshadow base and even contour the face.
The best way of knowing what your concealer shade is, is by applying it to your jawline and seeing which colour blends in the best then go for one shade lighter. Concealer should always be one shade lighter than your foundation colour.
The NARS Radiant Creamy concealer is like my golden child of concealers. It’s never disaponted and after years of using its still my go to. Its creamy textuer and soft finish make it so easy to apply with a brush or as I prefer to us it with my fingers. It’s the first concealer I always recomend to my clients. It was also named Allure’s 2018 Readers Choice.
Glossier Stretch Concealer is perfect when you just need a hit of coverage. After using it at a shoot I noticed how bright yet natural my under eyes looked. The stretch concealer works best when warmed up with your finger tips then dabbed onto the concerning area. Its the perfect travel size and a must have if you’re into the “no makeup, makeup look”.
Tarte Shape Tape concealer is probably the most populare concealer amongst the beauty community. I would say its a similar consistency to that of The NARS radiant creamy. But it also contains some skin benifits like pumping shear butter which softens and plumps dull looking skin.
My drug store must have is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealor. It was the first conceler I remember buying for myself during school and I used it for years. Its still used by top makeup artist and a great alternative if you don’t want to splash on an expensive concealer.
